CWOW Annual Writer's Workshop with C.S. Lakin

Have I told you about the great writer's group I belong to? It's Christian Writers of the West (CWOW), a local branch of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW)

In just one year, I've made some life-long friends and received tons of encouragement as a writer. I've been privileged to hear published authors share their experience and writing tips at our meetings.  I've  been inspired by the tenacity and generosity of this group and their commitment to use their writing talents for God.  If you're in the greater Phoenix area, like to write and are looking for a Christian writing group, I invite you to visit a CWOW meeting.

We have an upcoming event that would be the perfect time to check us out. We're holding our

Annual Writer's Workshop - an all day mini-conference with special speaker, author and editor, C.S. Lakin.

For detailed information on the workshop, you  can visit our website and/or blog at...

Hope to see you at the Workshop!

Steve Laube Writer's Workshop

It's pouring down rain here in Phoenix, but even the rain can't put a damper on my excitement this morning, because I'm going to a one day writing workshop and Steve Laube is the speaker!

Steve is an Christian writer's agent, who is based here in the Valley and the "dream agent" of many of us newbie fiction writers. I'm eager to learn all he has to share about the writing craft and selling what you write.

The workshop is sponsored by Christian Writers of the West, our local chapter of American Christian Fiction Writers. I'm a member of ACFW and have been planning to join CWOW, so  today is the perfect day to do that. (Rain or no rain.)

My good friend, Leola Ogle and I are riding together, which makes it even more fun. We'll probably stop at Starbucks and grab a latte first, (that's a given) and chat all the way there about writing and agents and publishers. We'll soak it all up, make copious notes and then ride home with much more to talk about.

Oh, it's good to have a writer friend!
